Alternative Mediums

About two weeks ago, my employer upgraded the cell phone they issued to me from a Motorola Q to an iPhone 4. A part of the reason why is a technical project I am working on needs the team to become familiar with the iPhone technology. We are soon to release an app in the iTunes store. I had no familiarity with iTunes and took some time to canvas what was offered and the underling technologies.

I came across many apps and other media in the initial searches I did. Among the many other subsequent searches, I also tried a search on ‘submissive’ since it is a personal interest of mine, but only found a few e-books for purchase. It seemed almost no content directed to D/s. I assumed it was due to Apple, Corp. doing content filtering. 

Somewhere during a later search, I found the pod cast section. Searches there were much more fruitful. I found several D/s pod casts. There was one I was skeptical of due to the title ‘Diary of a Dominatrix’, since my wife chooses to shelter me from outside influences contrary to her views. My thought was it would be fictional accounts akin to erotic fiction. Instead the title is a bit of a hook to draw in me and my fellow perves. Contrary to my initial impression, the pod cast is produced by a precocious and talented dominant women who has a venture as a psycho-sexual therapist.

The content is principally intelligent articulation of the complex interpersonal situations commonly encountered in D/s contexts. The dialog includes mostly exploratory vetting of situations encountered between her submissive husband and herself. The unfettered vetting is not unlike Howard Stern's format, but in a D/s BDSM context.  In addition to her submissive husband, she also includes friends who are in the D/s scene.

Her name is Mistress Roulette Chatelaine and listening to her pod cast has the effect of a cathartic similar to a psycho-sexual therapy appointment. Her degree is in psychology and the professional grade content is free. Her efforts in offering the D/s free content is noble. She supports the efforts by gaining visibility to her psycho-sexual therapy services, which she encourages the listeners to enlist her with for the fees she charges. The pod casts are free though and I do find them a worthwhile use of time. Although the content is a journey into their own self discovery, it is in turn also a mirror to the listener’s as well.
